Dr. Gerod Macon

We are always pleased to welcome prospective students and their families to our School.
Providing a high-quality education in a safe environment is what we strive to provide for our

As the principal at T. H. Harris Middle School, Gerod K. Macon strives to cultivate high
academic and behavioral expectations for all scholars. Having worked in schools for 23 years, 17 of those as a teacher and educational leader, he believes that “strong relationships between students, faculty, and families are vital to cultivating an impactful teaching and learning community”. We endeavor to foster our expectations around our 5 A’s: Accountability, Attendance, Academics, Acceptance, and Attitude. The students are at the center of everything we do at T. H. Harris Middle School.

Reflective, open-minded, inquisitive, thinkers, problem solvers, communicators, and
conscientious are traits that we endeavor to cultivate into the character of our students. These characteristics make up our learner profile. We know that in our ever-changing world, students who embrace these character traits will be better prepared to face life’s challenges and obstacles obtaining more favorable results.
